About Jola Charters
Angus Mann – Owner and Skipper of Jola IV
Angus is no stranger to fishing. As a ‘wee boy’ Angus fished the rivers, lakes and seas of Tanzania, Zambia and Kenya spending hours each day catching a wide variety of local fish.
Since leaving school (where his nickname was ‘Fish’), he has worked in the fishing and aquaculture industry.
After gaining his qualifications in Fisheries Management & Fishery Science, Angus purchased his first registered fishing boat ‘ Girl Kirsten’ and spent the next 30 years working creels on the West coast of Scotland.
His current creel boat is JOLA, which he had built by Cheetah Marine on the Isle of Wight to his own specifications.
